3. Booking and Acceptance

3.1 How to Book

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when you receive written confirmation from us via email or other written communication. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

You are responsible for providing accurate information about your property, including the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and any special requirements. Inaccurate information may result in service delays or additional charges.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Method

We do not accept online card payments through our website. All payments must be made via bank transfer based on the invoice we send you following service completion or as otherwise agreed.

4.2 No Upfront Deposit

We do not require upfront deposits or advance payments. Payment is due as specified on the invoice provided after service delivery.

4.3 Pricing

Pricing is based on the specific services requested, property size, and cleaning frequency. All prices quoted are estimates and may be subject to adjustment based on the actual condition and requirements of the property discovered upon arrival.

4.4 Payment Due Date

Payment is due within the timeframe specified on the invoice. Late payments may result in suspension of future services.

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Client Cancellations

You must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the booking value.

5.2 Same-Day Cancellations

Cancellations made on the day of service or “no-show” situations will result in a charge equivalent to the full booking value.

5.3 Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to staff illness, extreme weather, or emergencies. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule at your convenience.

6. Refund Policy

No refunds are provided once services have been rendered. If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us immediately so we can address your concerns. We may offer to re-clean specific areas or provide alternative remedies, but monetary refunds will not be issued.

7. Access to Property

7.1 Providing Access

You are responsible for providing our cleaning team with access to your property at the scheduled time. This may include:

  • Being present to let cleaners in
  • Leaving keys in a secure location (e.g., with building security, in a key safe)
  • Arranging for a third party to provide access
  • Providing access codes or instructions (similar to Airbnb arrangements)

7.2 Inability to Access

If our team cannot access your property at the scheduled time due to reasons within your control, this will be treated as a cancellation, and our cancellation policy will apply.

7.3 Client Presence Not Required

You do not need to be present during the cleaning service, provided you have made appropriate access arrangements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maid in Fulham Ltd’s liability for any claims arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to property or items
  • Damage to items that are improperly installed, unstable, or in poor condition
  • Damage caused by hidden defects in the property
  • Loss or damage to cash, jewelry, valuables, or personal items left unsecured
  • Consequential losses or indirect damages

9. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Securing valuables, cash, jewelry, and personal items before our arrival
  • Informing us of any fragile, valuable, or special-care items
  • Ensuring items requiring cleaning are in good working order
  • Maintaining adequate home insurance coverage
  • Reporting any concerns or damage immediately upon discovery

10. Service Standards and Quality

10.1 Professional Service

We are committed to providing high-quality cleaning services using eco-friendly, non-toxic products that are safe for pets and children. Our cleaning contractors are vetted and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.

10.2 Service Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 24 hours of completion. We will assess the situation and may offer to return and re-clean specific areas at no additional charge, subject to our availability and assessment of the complaint.

10.3 Cleaning Products

We use eco-friendly cleaning products as standard. If you have specific product preferences, allergies, or requirements, please inform us before the scheduled cleaning.

11. Property Condition and Safety

11.1 Safe Working Environment

You must ensure that:

  • The property is in a safe condition for our team to work
  • All utilities (water, electricity) are functioning
  • Cleaning equipment access is available (e.g., vacuum outlets, water taps)
  • Hazardous materials or conditions are disclosed in advance
  • Pets are secured or removed from areas being cleaned, if they may pose a risk

11.2 Hazardous Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service or cease cleaning if we encounter hazardous conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Biohazards (blood, bodily fluids, excessive mold)
  • Pest infestations
  • Structural safety concerns
  • Aggressive or unrestrained animals

12. Employees and Contractors

12.1 Status of Cleaners

Our cleaning professionals are independent contractors, not employees of Maid in Fulham Ltd. All contractors are vetted and DBS checked before assignment.

12.2 Conduct

Our contractors are expected to conduct themselves professionally. If you have concerns about a contractor’s conduct, please report it to us immediately.

12.3 Non-Solicitation

You agree not to directly hire or contract with any Maid in Fulham contractors for a period of 12 months after their last service at your property through our company.
